actually, it was an improv. sure he uses certain riffs that he has that already work with the delay, but he just kinda throws them together in a way that works. he also does control his own effects. if you look at about 1:26, you can clearly see him switch on his delay box.

It was most certainly not an improv, and there is a very good reason for this. Brian is using delay and allot of it to get his harmonys, something we all know as a trade mark of his. Notice he doesnt have any stompboxes infront of him....... He doesnt do his own effects on stage someone does them for him. Thats a pre arragned piece, not to mention the phaser and chorus too that make a little appearance throughoutBeautiful piece though, true musician

there were alot of roumers from this video. people say it truely was a solo, other say it was an improvisation, and some other said he was just testing his guitar for the next song.
