All of these introspective, analytical, critical of two three four decks, or what-not, is straight up wack....every true DJ knows....as long as you're rocking the crowd...you're dope. And this dude, straight up, has the sickest gigs! All you DJ wanna-bes can learn something from this dude...cause he's made a career out of this...holla.

i heard a guy say this is techno, so instead of googling it, like he said... i youtubed it. well i class this as trance. i kinda had it playing in the background of my mind as i was talking to friends on msn. which is something i do quite often. all in all good video... because it would be boring if you just LISTENED to it. i think they put it in vid format so you could either listen or watch him do his.... thing

when two records go great together and you want to keep that going and then need to introduce another song to the mix, while those two are going together you can cue up the next song. it only sounds messy at certain points, which to me is better than an absolutely perfect set.

Speaking as a former DJ, I've NEVER understood the point of three decks.I just sounds 'messy'!Would anyone care to enlighten me?

Lovin the whole Clarke/May/Mills debate... i'm fairly sure all three of them would find it ridiculous. Dave Clarke has said many times that Mills is one of his heroes, so has Derrick May, Mills has said similar things about both of them. All very different styles so not really comparable in terms of whose "better". It's a subjective experience after all. I've seen all three on teh same night more than once and they all blew me away! |
