what r the requirements for Compiz fusion?

well, at first, I thought it was mac (the dock), but then I realized its just ubuntu with a custom dock. And compiz fusion is exclusively for linux. But if you want a partial windows clone, you can download yodm3d. Its essentially the cube effect of compiz fusion. Thats the best they have for windows vista/xp.

yeah, well, I just use the standard ubuntu multiple workspaces, and its occasionally useful to clear up some clutter.Plus if I'm watching something in full screen, I can open it on a different desktop, so that I don't have to exit out of fullscreen to get to my other apps.btw, at least for ubuntu, ctrl+alt+left/right is the shortcut key for desktop switching.

You might not have much space. I don't know. It's a fun gimmick anyway.

yea I understand that, but why would u need to switch desktops? Imo it is irritating to have to turn the cube to the right side to find a window...if u know what I mean. ;)

It is. Allows a nice and fast effect to switch desktops.

Its neat but the cube feature is not very practical. I like the wobbly windows tho.
