Nice. I haven't seen any of those. Wait, I think our company installed two SMALL Carrier Chillers for some make up air units earlier this year. But I haven't had to service them yet. I'm still learning about those.

ya I just got done changing it. Sure enough that was the problem. New one came right on. It actually was quite easy to change.

I don't think their commercial grade is all that great either. :p Easy to work on, yes. But the metal is so thin and flimsy, the screws strip out the metal almost immediately, and they leak on the discharge line often. I did have one compressor that the internal pressure relief was stuck open. I beat on it and it would not close.

You mean the installers had no scale?

Dang dude. An inducer is not something you find DOA very often.

lol ya theres no telling, today I had a infinity carrier inducer motor not starting with 120v to it.. I looked at it like m0th3r f0rker!!! Looks like a bitch to change too. I'll just take my time and replace it but dang.. brand new.. never started!

dam carrier. great commercial grade. shit residential grade. the bypass vavle can jam and it will stay wide open ive seen it done twice. you have to end up taking a rubber mallet and beating the hell out of the bypass manifold to get the rod to drop. probly sum dumbass installer forgot to put the txv on charged it and then saw the bulb and just attached it and left because it was workng when he left it. lol

NO SCALE

Tough call there. I like DC inverter compressors. And not many people make them yet. |
