those arent M14's those are M1 Garands, which is pretty much the Father of the M14.

Actually guys the gloves have sylicone on them for slip resistance. it makes handling the rifles easier. But the guy below is right. it is a part of the uniform. The noise is simply the guys "beasting" the rifles. That is what you are supposed to do. It adds intensity and helps everyone stay together.

its nothing more then a standard m14, they are just beating the weapon hard enough to make that noise, and no thats not the reason they wear gloves, its apart of the uniform.
