There are many biographies that reveal a star to be less angelic than the characters they have portrayed, or for some to be of a kind disposition but typecast as a ruthless villain, but somehow I cannot believe that Danny Kaye could ever be described as "overbearing"

Sorry Am sure you are right, but my childhood memories are of Danny Kaye singing the Sum of the Square song, I'm Hans Christian Anderson etc. and I adored him.... if years after his death he turns out to be not the fantastic person I thought he was - well I dont want to know. I still want to listen to Inchworm and cry with pleasure at such a simple and beautiful song. Please dont poison childhood memories. The man is dead and cannot defend himself - and you'll never outfox the fox.......

I have read several showbiz biographies which agree that Kaye was a rather nasty, overbearing ego-maniac. |
