Does anybody know the title of the film that is screened with Reagan's speech from 0:32? Or is it just some different archive images mixed together? I

Reagan (or whoever wrote his lines) made some good points in this speech. The problem is they could just as easily be applied to police, firemen, or even the military! All of these could be privatised - so why do we require "statist" control over them? Because it is in the best interests of the people to do so. There needs to be open debate on which services benefit from being private enterprise and which benefit from State regulation.

it's been sad to watch the degeneration in philosophy, anthropology, culture and reasoning. we stand at a crossroads in world history. the intellectual vaccuum filled by reactionary bigheads, fanatics, lunatics & people who are unbalanced, a rise in cults, sects & weird ideas in response to an archaic system in which 17% own 78% of all wealth. we're forced to scrap like animals for crumbs. a national usa health service should be just the start.it feels like the american people have awakened.

Sorry about your grandfather.Still USA is way behind rest of western world when it comes to provide it's inhibitans with basic health care. I still have to see a sollution to this problem from those who belive the propaganda film with Ronald Ragan and that common health care is "socialization" and "communism". We have common healt care in rest of west world, and don't regard us as "commi". And like the system. So, how to change the USA "health care" system to actually deliver to all americans?

No, you do not controll your life. That is an illusion. You are in controll of luck. Do you ride any car? Than a second of unluck could make you chair bound. A second of luck, and you can cut your fingers when cutting bread.I am not a victim of society and I do have controll of life, as good as I can get.I got a flue when I was 18, result a kidny fault, and a transplantation. For 5 years I couldn't work full time. I have and couldn't had any controll over that. But you are a moron, so eod.

No, it's the consequence of being cheeted by "insurance company" and not poor life decisions. You are a heartless selfinsh brat. It seams that you can't have any fealing for those with less luck than you.I usally don't wish harm on people, but I am close to do an exception on such empathy less person like you.End of discusson, becouse you do not answer my question and don't read my answers...

"1) Your life is not under your controll. You can be sacked any day now, without health care etc. (Except if you have rich parents)."What?!? I control my life. I have saved enough to weather a storm. My friend, you need to stop pretending you are a victim of society and take control of your life. Write something, invent something, be productive, start a business, save money.

"You are a very cold, selfish and inhuman person or you do not understand. I assume you call yourself chrisitan, and still you doesn't understand what Jesus said."Yes, I missed the passage where Jesus said: Go forth and form a government to take income from people by force and redistribute that income to other people. What book was that in?Again, you confuse socialism through government with charity through individual action. The first uses force, the second does not.

cuba has worse conditions than china. the cuban "hospital" that moore shows in this film is actually a plastic surgery center with state of the art equipment. it is closed off to cubans but wealthy americans and europenas looking to get cheap plastics are welcome. i cannot ask my grandfather those questions because he passed away last year. he took that medical trip about 3 years ago. i doubt conditions have changed. |
