Therefore, what is a prudent course of action--perhaps offshore bullion investment i.e. goldmoney? I'm interested in hearing others opinions in trying to be prepared! It seems the volatility of the economy is escalating.

Are we looking at a hyper-inflationary period soon--i.e. after the elections--early '09? If so isn't it a realistic possibility that transportation costs, food distribution will be prohibitive. Hence, social unrest may engulf us, in which case can we learn from the Russian economic collapse and be prepared. But what assurances beside having food would (mining stocks) or gold/silver coins be to barter with, if at the stroke of a pen the neocon's declare it illegal.

hahahah bush and his neocon terrorists have taken america hostage by hijacking the US government and raped it multiple times! LMAO! hell why dont the US give Bush a 3rd term, and go attack iran and then attack russia and then attack china. then the US economy will be super great! hahahhaha. bush has followed the footsteps of the soviets, wars, economic collapse after deliberate manipulation, and now the country is in chaos and maybe states even break up into individual countries! ARSE RAPED!

Some of us are torn between the sorrow it causes us to see the American economy come to this, and the fright looking ahead to take measures to Save what we can from this seemingly unavoidable economic debacle.
