Poor Diana. This report proves that her myth had already been created before she married Charles. She never had a chance.

Not sure about Jasper Carrott but Kenny Everett certainly parodied it.

The slogan 'Because You're Worth it' currently being used in L'Oreal commercials is used in this one among a bunch of commercials from June 1981. I am also very familiar with one of Volkswagen's most famous commercials. I am wondering whether there was a spoof of this featuring I think Jasper Carrott.

Wasn't it refreshing to watch the news..no computer graphics, no presenters walking aimlessly around a virtual studio, no banners scolling across the screen and clear posh accents!!!!!

It is strange looking back at how the female newsreaders dressed in comparision with today. They now also wear a shirt with a suit jacket :)

Prison van driver says "I wasn't gonna get my head bashed in for nothing." Heh heh. How the news reports have changed. BTW Prince Charles, the police DIDN'T aways go about their work in a "...friendly way..." That's why there were riots against them during that very summer.

Mmmm....... Personally I am not bothered by the celebrity angle of Royalty, but constitutionally it does work...I would HATE to be a Royal though.
