well when it comes down to it there are millions of songs with the same chord progression. its the melody that distinguishes most songs. those 2 are nothing the same

Me too except for the 17 part : ( I'm an Old man, well not old but not young anymore but I still love my cartoons. I could care less what anyone thinks. I miss the cartoons from the 80's and earlier. I really miss old violent tom and jerry toons. Simpsons, Beavis and Butthead, Family Guy, King of the Hill and so many more. They're all great. Whacky Racers were the best though.

Yeah. Well, sort-of. I was listening to the Gary Jules version earlier today, racking my brain trying to figure out what song it reminded me of, and then suddenly it hit me... Offspring! They are in the same key, and there is a similar chord progression, but I think there are enough differences to separate the two songs. Meaning, I don't think the Offspring had it in mind to rip off Tears for Fears when they were writing this (read: amazing) song. |
