Does it usually do what it was intended to do, tho'?Remember: this was not an internet lecture on foreign policy; but a sermon TO A SPECIFIC AUDIENCE, that used these examples to make the larger point about responsibility & accountability personally, and to God.Now, if you want to talk world history, or foreign policy in another arena, I'm sure he could accommodate you. Well that might be an argument against certain south American governments... assuming we hold people accountable for actions their great great grand parents may have committed. While we are on the subject, my moms home town in southern Italy was raided by moors at one point. Where is my reparations check? History proves it wrong.For one, native Americans were committing ethnic cleansing in tribal warfare long before the advent of colonialism. Two most African slaves never saw a white man until they were on the shore in America. They were caught by rival tribes, sold by rival tribes, and usually transported by rival tribes. The worst atrocity committed by this country is nothing compared to what Al Qaeda has committed. The fact that he would compare us to them, is beyond my ability to forgive.
