Oh really? Well, they have it better in the book then. I don't know why they made it in the movie like they were prostitutes or something...anyway, I agree that books are usually better the movie so yeah, I'll definitely check the book out someday. =)

Yes, some. But not everything is correct. Thus, read the book.For example they mention in the movie that "deflowering" is an impportant part of graduation, and that their first time were sold to the highest bidder. That. Is. Wrong.Geishas are not sexual. At all.But yeah, some aspects of the movie is definitely correct. Just not all.

what do you mean? the movie is actually based with a lot of actual, historic facts of what geisha's are. But whatever, the point here is Mulan is NOT a geisha.

It always bothered me how obviously different the Grandmother's speaking voice was from her singing voice. I understand if the actress can't sing, but couldn't they try to find someone who sounded more like her? At least this is the only time she sung :P
