The west never helped us gain our freedom and have never had interest in Africa except to colonise and exploit it.

Africa is poor because it has just emerged from colonialisation, suffering and poverty where most of its people lived from less than a dollar a day. These poor countries still have to pay the debts which were incurred by the previous racist, oppressive regimes. The West have failed to forgive Africa's debts, increase its development aid, end trade policies that undermine its exports. People like Bono, Bob Geldof, etc who understand these problems, except for some racist whites.
