Do the strikers make any attempt to understand the geopolitical and macroeconomic conditions responsible for high fuel and food prices? No. Will the disruptions caused to the South African economy by strikes help to improve the situation in any way? No. Do these infantile placards work as magic wands do, miraculously solving international economic crises? No. What an exercise in futility.
