you guessed right!! What is interesting is that there are several other TCSCs out there in utube land,- and quite right too!The Tom Corbett books were so much part of my (our?)adolesence and have left such a lasting impression. I think the effect and importance of adolescent sci fi is vastly underestimated. For instance many USA women who have gone have into science and technology site watching Star Trek as a major influence in them becoming scientists / technologists.

I never saw the TV programs or heard the radio, but I read 7 of the 8 books and they have always been a favourite of mine. You can find the books as e-books on Project Gutenberg under the author name of Rockwell,Cary. Thanks for posting this swapsale.

It's alright kids! Roger does grow up and become a less arogant person, through his many adventures with Tom and Astro! Oh, and they don't allow adverts in the plot nowadays - well not ones so obvious anyway!

The narrator/announcer is Jackson Beck, who also assumed the same duties on the concurrent radio version of the show...John Fiedler is "Alfie".
