what would it take to heal the wounds...seems nowadays we have a nation of complainers rather than people willing to accept challenges, trials and tribulations and ensure that society never repeats them again! what will it take?

after seeing and listening to what Steven Harper had to say in his apology. I don't think it will take the pain and suffering of so many Residential Victims. Some will say its a positive move towards the future keep believeing that fariy tale. Hearing the stories of my grandmothers expierences in these schools was horrifying and sicking. No amount of money nor apology will replace the Native pride and dignity of so many Residental School victims....

i have never experienced this myself, but my mom has, so have my grandparents, and my great grandmother, hearing what they went through at these schools is terrible, some of their peers never had counsilling so when they were interviewed all of their suppressed memories were brought back and they couldnt handle it, some committed suicide. i am native, and im proud to be from a surviving family of the atrocity of the residential school.

i'm sorry but do you even know when the last residential school was closed in canada?well obvisiously not, because the last one was actually closed in 1998. Before you start making rude, mean, ignorant comments i advise you to educate yourself before making a negative assumption. p,s you're very mean and that's all there is to it. |
