first time I saw a photo of Joe in that shirt I thought it was re the hunger strikers, then noticed the date - Joe was supporting/promoting/giving it the 'oxygen of publicity' before the hunger strikes. Publically supported/made tribute to Bobby Sands after his death mind (according his bio Redemption Song)
