As far as I'm concerned, this particular performance on this storied occasion defined a generation and remains the greatest, most electrifying, live rock performance of my lifetime. Not pretty, not perfect, just pure, live, raucous energy.

I agree with gajk, talking about drummers on this message board is an insult to this absolutely fret burning performance. I disagree with gajk on the second point. On this night NO ONE could touch Alvin Lee!!!

One of the absolute masterpieces at Woodstock. And in rock history. The energy of the crowd obviously is energizing to all the performers; so many of them seemed to "peak" at this magical setting. It was incredible. Watching Alvin Lee is stunning. And the way it was captured on film is also staggering. I'm out of breath every single time I see this.

I would like to live in this shit!!!! 69 the year of my father!!! Damn woes he lucky... he told me that he grabed a spune and he played like he woes on a concert haha ... "live" and he played the recorder... my grandma always laught at him... now he knows for real hot to plac all guitar eaven electro-techno guitar with special efect's with 66.8 miliseconds on the spune ;D haha and also how to play drums
